Hi Jan,

Thanks for the help. It's very true I have received code pointers from
Yuosuf and even in IRC,
Katerina (bubli) has given me some good intuitions to approach the bug. As
a newcomer, It will take me some time to understand the codebase but I am
sure I will solve the bug eventually. I appreciate the efforts of
LibreOffice Developer Community in helping a newcomer in every aspect.

Regards,
Pranav

Hi

Yuosuf gave you a pretty good hint with the commit pointer you reference.

A small hint, you can make a branch in your repo, and restore it to the
point just before the commit, then you can see how things were before. Of
course the commit also tells you exactly what was changed, which should be
enough.

Hi, I am working on this bug:

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97885

As stated in the bug, it mentions that somehow the link to the EmptyPanel
got removed. Most likely in this commit:

https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=536c259cb9644971d0eb0cdfb7d823c5383a5481

But I am not able to figure out how the sidebar was referencing EmptyPanel
previously. But in the commits only the files in core implementation of
sidebar are affected. As this bug is very much related to Draw, it should
be related to the specific implementation to sidebar which is present in
sd/source/ui/sidebar.
correct me if I am wrong. can someone guide me on this. Thanks.

Regards,
Pranav
