Hello,
Sorry wor not answering earlier! Yes, I am using JDBC to connect to my
MySQL-database. May I add that in THAT case there is also something that should
be looked at: Even though one can specify "autoReconnect=true" in the
connection string, it is still necessary to answer the resulting message box
with "ok" when the server times out. When using the command-line client (mysql)
for the connection (NOT through LO!), that client reconnects automatically when
loosing the connection.
