Well, obviously it wasn't. Should / could it be removed now?
Next time you want to mark something as "should be killed/fixed/whatever
for LO x.y", please add an explicit conditional #error that fires based on
the version number in question. Or even, do the removal proactively, make
the code conditional on the version.
