if you use OpenSSL then the document signatures won't work anyway
because the UI for that feature allows the user to select certificates
from a Mozilla Firefox/Thunderbird profile and those only work with NSS.

this is apparently hardcoded in the Library_xsec_xmlsec.mk for non-WNT
platforms because of the reason above.
