Let me have a stab at this. Albeit I'm not on windows so will need testing
afterwards by someone to see if it works right.
For what it's worth: It looks like I can accurately reproduce this bug with my
ancient Dell keyboard: On my Windows 8.1 machine, when writer has focus, my
volume up/down dial/button does not function anymore. I can try the daily
tommorrow to see if this fixes the issue as I experience it.
