The code appears to have moved and now exists here:

vcl/unx/gtk/window/gtksalframe.cxx:2105

The code appears to take account of gtk3 and it may already be fixed. 

For gtk2 we have a dummy 1024x768 rect being returned with a warning. Is the
gtk2 implementation the problem or has it been fixed?
