OutputDevice::ImplInitFontList() currently only aborts the application if a
Window instance can't get any fonts.
However, I really can't see why it should be any different for Printer or
VirtualDevice instances - if there are no available fonts for these
instances, then there are big issues anyway.
I have therefore submitted a patch to gerrit to get some eyeballs.
Can anyone with VCL experience see any issues with
