It's by far the best to file bugs in bugzilla =)
I think this issue was implemented with the new templates in Summer 2012
and persists since then.
In my opinion it is an ugly bug that we should fix for 4.1.5 and 4.2
(and later).
Then it should be marked a MAB for 4.1.
