ubuntu 12.04
branch libreoffice 4-0-4.2 (01d064366279ced9dcb45851c9f09496eeea2609)

variant 1: without --with-lang= ) works fine
variant 2: with --with-lang=ALL ) works fine

variant 3: with --with-lang=de or --with-lang="de" ) fails

Try :
--with-lang=en-US de

Thank you - works like a charm.

If this is the intented behavour, the configure -help should be change from:

--with-lang Use this option to build LibreOffice with additional
language support. English (US) is always included by
default. Separate multiple languages with space. For
                          all languages, use --with-lang=ALL.

Usage: --with-lang="es sw tu cs sk"

to something else. Or will the build process adapted to the description?
