1/ the bug was showing only for non-debug build. when I turned off
optimisation I could not see the segfault anymore
2/ apparently taht was somehow related with a fairly dirty tree. when
I did git status a bunch of obsolete directory and files where still
there...
I did a git clean -fd to get rid of these vestigial direcotries and
files... and I have not seen the problem since then
No idea what the root cause is, but since it was a segfault in the
compiler and that compiler version is obsolete (i.e not really
supported anymore by Apple), I did not see the point to dig further...
