 build_error.log used to be a file with build output from the module where
build failed. Given that today pretty much everything is built from tail_build,
it would be equivalent to 'make 2>&1 | tee build_error.log' .

Thank you for your help, I think that Michael Stahls reply regarding the output being reduced with a recent commit will do the trick. Winfried
