Welcome here!
You must know that the main language of LO is C++.
These are used too: C, Python, Java (even assembly).
SCM is Git and Gerrit is used too.

If you want to contribute as a dev, the first thing is to build from sources
by following this:

Then, you may begin with some easy tasks to warm up, see :
