My bad ; I submitted an incorrect version of the patch.
Also as sberg put it on IRC :
"reading your commit message about exception catching reminded me about that other fix in
gcc3_linux_x86-64 which was necessary to work around more agressive inlining wiht GCC
[...] so I would suggest we model workarounds around agressive inlining the same for all the gcc3_*
trees"
