Oof... You call that one an 'EasyHack' ? Surely there must be some
software out there already that enables you to efficiently
search/browse a codebase and/or API / etc ? For example, doesnt
'doxygen' do what you want here ?



This is kind of specific to LO - it's like OpenGrok (opengrok.libreoffice.org), but restricted to a particular subset of the files (the *.?rc files), and with some smarts built-in to link things together.
