so it first paints background then shadow. But try to zoom out with at least 2 pages - the second page gets painted after the first page, and the shadow overlaps the already rendered page. It worked earlier on because the shadow image is nearly transparent, it was hard to notice the effect. Now it is evidently noticeable. :)

No idea how to fix this, maybe it is possible to get the size of the gap between the pages and set a clip region?...

Should I file a bug report?
