Really ? I recall reading gdkevents, consulting the mainatiners and
tearing my hair over this when I arrived at that solution - having
decided not to pull and re-push all the events to avoid confusing
some-part-or-other of gtk+ (but hopefully I was mistaken).
Well, unsure of it of course, but with just that bit toggled on for gtk2
nothing seemed obviously different on a casual walk-through. With or
without for gtk3 seems to equally odd results for redraws and so forth,
so hard to tell if I've broken that, quite possibly.
We should prolly remove all the slow & heavy-lifting addEvent /
subtractEvent / resetEvents code if we do it this way though - there is
no need for that anymore.
