I only got the idea to do so while reviewing your patch. Back when I added new-style services about a decade ago, I remember going over the then-existing services and converting those few I identified as suitable for conversion. Unfortunately, I no longer remember exactly what criteria I used then. And looking at the large number of old-style services implementing a single interface in existence today, I have the bad feeling that I rejected some of them back then, for reasons lost. I just can't imagine all that broken stuff got added in the meantime, by copying existing old-style services cargo-cult--style...
