Hi,
This is a picture from 3.5 release notes that shows the new RTL widgets
(combo boxes) used in Libreoffice.

Creating RTL widgets is good, but it should be noted that the text should
be also RTL.

If you look at the Arabic text, and test it yourself, you will find out
that although the widget is RTL, but the text is not. This problem exist
for editable text boxes like Font selection text box. For readonly text
like the text you will see in como boxes, The text is RTL.
When selecting font, we have another problem. The English name of the font
is right-aligned altough it should be left-aligned and the Arabic sample is
left aligned, although it should be right-aligned. Smart decision can be
determining RTL or LTR according to the text, just like the way Gedit does
for English or Arabic text.
