OK, thanks! That was the crucial thing. The HKCU value was a bogus
leftover pointing to the now non-existent SDK v6.0A. I removed my
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SDKs\Windows key completely, the
HKLM one seems to be enough.
