Well, the change in 3.4.0 was made by design. There are more changes
that visible on the screenshot (PDF) from comment #1
But indeed, you may call it a regression if you think it is a mistake to
omit the page titles in that place.
If you are up for it, why not just comment on the bug and start looking
into it? The "easy hacks" are meant for people who are looking for
something to work on. There's no advantage for you since you already
know what it's about :-)
