Well. I tried to reproduce it on my end, but I can't.
Perhaps that is a feature-not-bug; but it must make constructing these
things somewhat annoying and counter-intuitive.
No, that could never be a feature. Why should it? But I have hard time
reproducing it here. Perhaps I will be able to in one of those days...
