I have tried to install and use the actual nightly (20110420) on a
Windows XP system and found at least two obvious and annoying bugs.

Yep - annoying they are :-)

The localisation is completely broken and you will get a crash every
time your closing it. See the bug-list here http://goo.gl/dXoAt

This should be fixed in the latest 3-4 builds (hopefully the next
snapshot).

We should discuss if it makes sense to make the actual nightly for
windows (20110420) the beta2.

Ho hum - well, it is -much- better than Beta1 - so, better to have
something better than beta1 out there than nothing I think. And Beta3
will be yet better. I tend to think that the perfect is the enemy of the
good, and it is better to get a release per week out with incrementing
quality, rather than a release a month with very high quality.

So we should go for quality imho.

We hope to get to quality iteratively, with a number of releases; Beta2
being far, far more usable.

Anyhow - thanks for using the daily snapshots & giving feedback - that
is great :-) the more feedback we get, the earlier in the process, then
the better our betas & RCs will be.

        Thanks !

                Michael.
