Hi list,

In light of this bug report

I'd like to know if anybody has an opinion about this problem. Honestly
I would LOVE to remove all of our current XSLT-based filters since they
cause major performance issues& not scalable at all. XSLT is the wrong
technology to use to write file format filters IMO, but alas, we have
lots of them enabled by default.

What can we do about this?

Is it possible to have a universal system that opens all types of microsoft formats that we support?
