It certainly is useful, as there is lots of mess in there, but because
it is such much work, people just avoided to touch it...
Can we use modules from the standard Perl distribution to handle
things like filepaths or creating directory trees? What Perl versions
does this need to run on?
mac/PPC uses 5.8.6
Please don't require anything that is not provided by XCode/Mac OS X itself.
Are there things that need particular care or that might become broken
in non-obvious ways?
Well - if you hack on the installer part, stuff that might break is
creating the installsets :-)
Whether to actually build the final installation set is optional...
