Just downloaded RC2 and associated French langpack.
Someone has apparently overwritten in the source the change I suggested
and Thorsten committed to the installation applescript which enables the
installer to take the foreground focus even if other windows are open.

Here was the original discussion, the change was integrated in RC1 and
is now missing in RC2 :
