Yep - though I don't really like the installer concept on mac, I
guess I'd then prefer to install all those langs unconditionally. If
that turns out to cause issues, we can discuss other options.

Thorsten I have seen on mac some installers that allow you to specifywhich drive to install on. Question becomes is it possible to present auser a list of language packs that they can choose from and only installwhat is needed.
