1) /usr/bin/soffice is symlinked to <libo install dir>/program/soffice ;

2) the user does not install OOo Vanilla at the same time.
In case 2) the LibO tooling will point to OOo installation path instead.

where I tried to explain how this should work.
But I'm not sure I described it clearly.
