Looks as if there is already a lot of expert advise in the issue :)

I think I've used that tool twice, so do not meet expert-requirement in
this field at all I think ;)  Still an opinion..

- The possibility offered to clone character and/or paragraph
formatting, is neat IMO.  So I would not drop one of the three.
- One could argue to change the short cuts/default.
- More important could be the introduction of a split button, showing
the possibilities and thus educating users.
