I submitted a bug report ( https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84551 ) that the default behaviour of the table toolbar button should be to open the drop down so that a user can draw the cells he/she needs for their table or click the 'more' button to open up the table dialog.
If anybody can find out how inserting tables works on Apple Pages, that would help a lot too for the Wednesday's hangout/meeting. Anybody here with a Mac + Pages installed?
