Hello

This is my first message posted on this list. First a brief introduction:
I am a francophone member of TDF and participates in user support,
documentation and quality assurance (and my english is poor...sorry
for that).

I agree with the comments that initiated this thread:
http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Welcome-graphics-for-the-Startcenter-in-4-2-tp4077497.html
on the need to handle the case where the list of recent documents is
empty and about the size of button (too small).

I like the proposal forwarded by Mateusz Zasuwik.

It is not , however, what bothers me the most (because the list is not
empty long ... if all goes well) but the fact that there is no info on
the url of a recent document selected:
- The tooltip displays only the name (but it is already below the icon)
- The name has no extension (sometimes difficult to know the type of
document. Thumbnail not always sufficient to distinguish)
- The path should be displayed in tooltip (see the drop-down list of
Open button in 4.1) and in a "status bar" at the bottom of the dialog.

I *very* frequently work on documents with the same name
contained in different folders... and it would also be useful to find
where did I could save the document :)

Regards
Pierre-Yves
