Hi Drew -- Sorry, I had originally only posted to the US-Marketing but re-sent it to all the lists you have posted

Hi,

One more change to the label for the NA-Comm-DVD.

Addressed some concerns on trademark, from the US mktg ml.

Swapped SVG logo for one a bit more descriptive and moved a few things
around, per Marc's comments.

Removed overall green frame, except spine and updated the scatter
element to give it much more prominence.

Softened the sactter-esque watermark on back cover, and adjusted other
elements.

Updated the file on the wiki:

Thanks

Drew

Thanks for update Drew. I was just wondering, what is the purpose of the
black dot under "English". Should this be erased?

huh - a beauty mark perhaps...*chuckle*...yeah, will excise that.

Thanks again for the excellent work on the label. Looks great! It will
make for a great template for other groups if they wish to adopt the
same label. I really like the scatter on the label

The only other criticism I would have is the slogan. I would suggest
moving the slogan moved beneath the LibreOffice title on the back page.

<snip>

What do you think?

Hi Marc,

Did that, and the slogan just kept wanting to move south...so I
accommodated it.

After that, it just yelled at me to do something with the front...so I
listened again.

Finally, the ODF logo screamed so I borrowed from here and there, did a
little aggregating and a little touch with the airbrush tool and
well..see for yourself.

"What do you think?" -> I think this is looking damned good now, thanks
to all feedback. Also, that I need to move on to a jewel case layout.

Best wishes,

Drew

Nice work. I like the placement of the slogan! After having read the functions of the modules, people get that extra slogan to motivate the use of the product!

Not sure if I like the placement of the two logos on the front cover. I think, strategically speaking, that all logos (pdf, odf, svg, cc by--SA, lgpl) would be better kept on the back. This is where the supporting information is situated. I also prefer the "Windows is a registered ... Apple Inc." at the back below the 5 logos and the "LibreOffice ... www.documentfoundation.org" on the front, as this gives us some additional advertisement for the TDF. The trademark assertions for Windows and Apple are there to satisfy the mention of the trademark names and I don't think we need to give it more prominence than it needs. We need to make people aware of the TDF rather than relegating it to second position on the back cover.

Cheers

Marc
