Hi Björn, hi Bernhard, all!

Cool to see some discussions happen here :-)

I tried to do a quick draft of what you suggested (it's quite quick and
very dirty if you would have a look at the source), inverting the
interior area of the template icons, but I kept the rip-off metaphor too:

I think both proposals have their advantages - the inverted icons look
quite dark, but are easier to differ from the document icons.

Perhaps it is possible to increase brightness / decreas saturation of the
icons to have them both approximately in the same darkness?

I don't know if they really follow the general visual language of the
other icons...

What do you think?

Mmh, I also played a bit with the source of the graphics, because there
are some issues that I'm not comfortable with. But I wasn't able to
(qickly) address these issues in a visually pleasing way:

      * The rip-off section, which looks (on the dark background) really
strange. But you've mentioned that it is a quick draft, of
        course.

      * The very dark color of the template icons that seems to be very
different to the rest of the LibreOffice stuff that got created
until now [1]. But of course, if there are good reasons ... and
        artistic freedom as well.

      * The picture seems to be inverted / changed in color, too. To me,
it now looks like a negative film that doesn't really fit in my
        point-of-view.

Having in mind Nik's proposals concerning much "lighter" icons, it seems
that there is no easy decision ... but also having in mind that we need
some more icons, there is no need for a decision right at the moment ;-)

Cheers,
Christoph
