Hi Regina,

can this help you?
https://www.barrierefreiheit-dienstekonsolidierung.bund.de/Webs/PB/DE/gesetze-und-richtlinien/wcag/wcag-artikel.html

E-Mail Adresses have the same "layout" as web Adresses.
The Text says this: E-Mail address from Susanne
And the hyperlink: Susanne.mohn-lo@kiel-pries.de

It is not quite clear to me. We want a link including the protocol, so that a click opens that application, that the user has assigned to the "mailto:"; protocol.

Can we do
(1)
Chair: Patrick Durusau

and have the text "Patrick Durusau" as link with target "mailto:patrick@durusau.net";

(2)
Chair: Patrick Durusau
patrick@durusau.net

and have the text "patrick@durusau.net" as link with target "mailto:patrick@durusau.net";

(3)
Chair: Patrick Durusau
mailto:patrick@durusau.net

and have the text "mailto:patrick@durusau.net"; as link with target "mailto:patrick@durusau.net";

(4)
or ???

What is best for page visitors that use a screen-reader, for example?

Or is the approach to have a link with "mailto:"; protocol already unsuitable?

Kind regards,
Regina
