Yes, Claire, the bug appeared at the begining of 24.8... and is still
there in 25.2 and probably will be there in 25.8. (grrrrrrr)
*Bug 162593*

Adding/removing elements to/from a custom theme may crash LibO and added
items are only visible after restarting LibreOffice

The issue is unfortunately still present in LibO 25.2.3.2.
I apologize for appearing insistent, but I would like to urge to have this issue investigated.
On one hand, it appears unusual for a healthy project to leave a reproducible crash unaddressed for
so long. This issue was introduced at the beginning of the development of the 24.8 series, most
likely more than 1 year ago. Unfortunately, the issue was not caught early and the change-set that
introduced it was not immediately reverted, with the result that the bug survived through the whole
of the 24.8 series and almost the whole of the the 25.2 series and is now likely to be present in
the 25.8 series as well.
On the other hand, this issue is disruptive with respect to the gallery functionality. The gallery remains usable as a
"static" repository, which might be OK for those who use it based on themes installed as extensions. However,
it is completely broken for those who need to "dynamically" manage some gallery themes, adding/removing and
updating the stored objects. The current breakage might also end up impairing the maintenance of extensions providing
gallery themes or the development of new ones.
It might be worth making a quick assessment if the "gallery" is a functionality that can be
regarded essential. The current state of it suggests that it might have not many users. If this is the case,
restricting it to a static storage that can be used only in association to unmodifiable themes provided via
extensions might be a good path to get rid of the crash and would ultimately take away nothing with respect
to the features that LibO users could enjoy through the last two major releases.
Have a nice evening

Salut Patrick

secours.....
C'est dommage cette régression !
Version OS : kubuntu 22.04 LTS
Bonne journée
Patrick
