Puedes forzar la sustitución mediante las opciones de autocorrección:
1) Herramientas > Opciones de autocorrección
2) Pestaña Reemplazar
2.1) Reemplazar: mas.
2.2) Por: más
3) botón Nuevo y Aceptar
Mas no se si es muy buena opción, dado que *siempre* te hará la
corrección, con lo cual no podrás escribir más frases como ésta. ;-)
