in dem von dir bereitgestellten Link ist bei Aufruf ein weiterer Link zu Bugzilla

Dort wird, wenn ich es richtig verstehe, beschrieben dass kein Erfordernis gesehen wird für eine 
Änderung des vorhanden Status:

ODF specification doesn't mandate support for any image format. It recommends only that raster 
images are stored as PNG and vector images as SVG. I don't see a need to change that.

ist es so, dass LibreOffice das Bildformat webp in der Art unterstützt, 
dass webp-Bilder in png-Bilder umgewandelt werden.

Gibt es schon Informationen, ob und wann das webp-Bildformat ohne 
Umwandlung in das png-Format in beispielsweise WRITER-Dokumente 
eingefügt werden kann.

Ich meine mal gelesen zu haben, dass das Bildformat webp (noch) nicht im 
OpenDocumentFormat-Standard verabschiedet wurde..

Gibt es da schon neuere Informationen ?
