Innerhalb von LibreOffice wird das sowieso nicht angezeigt, sondern,
sofern es denn funktioniert, über eine externe Anwendung. Das geht aus
der Meldung doch auch hervor.
Dein Problem kann ich aber nachstellen. LibreOffice scheint hier ein
Problem zu haben, sofern in dem verlinkten PDF-Dokument ein
Kapitel/Unterkapitel (in LibreOffice bei der Linkerzeugung als Folien
bezeichnet) angesprungen werden soll.
Lässt man das Sprungziel leer, wird das verlinkte PDF im eingestellten
Standard-PDF-Betrachter des Systems geöffnet.
Getestet in einer VM mit macOS Catalina 10.15.7 und LibreOffice 7.4.3.2.
