Unter Windows empfehle ich dafür Notepad++, im Menü Extras oder
Zusatzmodule (oder so ähnlich) gibt es das Modul "Compare", dass zwei
geöffnete .txt-Dateien sehr brauchbar vergleichen kann.
Alternativ kann man sich auch WinDiff3 ansehen. Obwohl, es gibt sicher
noch weitere Möglichkeiten.
