Ich habe das ganze einmal durchgetestet.
Nachdem ich auch den Button zum Absenden der Mail gefunden habe
(Ansicht > Symbolleisten > Serienbrief)
wurde ich nach dem Betätigen des Buttons noch nach einem Betreff gefragt
und die Mail ging anstandslos raus.

Datei > Senden
dient dazu, mit dem unter Extras > Optionen > Internet > E-Mail
verzeichneten Mailprogramm den geschriebenen Text zu versenden.
Vermutlich liegt da der Fehler, denn das ist die Versandmethode für
Einzelmails.
