Die sind eigentlich immer sichtbar. Bei alten Versionen als blaue Linie
oben am Seitentextbereich, bei neuen Versionen als Linie zwischen den
Seiten.
Vielleicht fallen sie dir nicht auf, weil die Farbe nicht kräftig genug
ist? Unter Extras > Optionen > LibreOffice > Darstellung stellst du im
Abschnitt "Textdokument" die Farbe ein. Nimm doch mal hellblau oder
hellmagenta.
