Hello Mr. Jung,

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the UI of a software suit should be the last positive argument to use
it.

If your customers need LO just for typing letters, you could easily switch to oOo or MS Office. For
customers with a greater connect between office and the rest of his IT the UI of the office
shouldn't matter...

Just my 2 cents.

Kind regards, Ronny

Hello,

correct me, if I am wrong...

I have been using Open/LibreOffice for years and it always has had a
nice UI on Windows, where toolbars have been clearly distinguashable,
all panes have been divided in a clear manner.

Since version 4 there is some kind of flat UI avoiding any clear line,
especially in Writer. This is UGLY, MORE UGLY, MOST UGLY.

I used to install LibreOffice for customers - now I am ASHAMED coming
with such an ugly program in 2013. I still use versions from the
3.x-branch.

Will there be a time when LibreOffice will look again like a
professional program or will it concentrate on idiotic ideas like
"personas" - not beeing able to replace what has been there before
without HUGE problems and having to change persona for every different
screen resolution or mostly used window size?

On Linux it looks a bit better. But I think it is not a clever decision

to drop a really nice UI for most OSs and using an really ugly one for
the still most widely used OS on desktops, is it?

Maybe we will get a professionally looking free Office Suite again
sometime in the future. It's a shame, that "goof old Microsoft" has the

MUCH better looking suite, winning back one of THE arguments. One
cannot
expect people to forget about beauty and to stare at ugly things
instead. No idea who has made this decision...

Thanks for your interest.

Volker
