Hi Christian, I've got a question on the level of completion of
translation needed for the Welsh language LibreOffice website to be
published. The instructions at
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/NewWebsiteNLT suggests it needs to
be complete but I've noticed that some of the other languages have parts
still in English. We've been working for a while on the translation and
I think we're about 2/3s of the way there. The emphasis has been on the
most important parts - Discover, Download, and About. We've not done
much so far on Help and Community. The files in Pootle are complete. I
take it that once the website is live then we can continue to update and
develop the website in the future.
You do not have to translate all the pages. Only the ones that are
relevant for your community. What you can do is publish what is done and
go on with the translation and publish the remaining pages when they are
ready. As long as the most important part is done for your project, you
do not need to wait to publish your site.
I'd like to aim at getting the website up and running for the launch of
LibreOffice 4.4 at the end of the month - would that be possible?
Cloph will answer you on that part as he is taking care of the redirect.
Thanks a lot for your work!
Cheers
Sophie
