Do a script to make a fake english question after every reload ? Is this
too bad ?

you found the right file... askbot replaced the built-in template language
by jinja2. It seems as if the contents of jinja macros are heavily cached
without any way of changing this. So the translation is loaded exactly one
time: The first request after a server reload determines the language of
translated strings inside the macros. I'm currently working out what the
best way of replacing them is.
