Hi,

To make it easy...
We support every java Version Oracle supports in the same flavor as LibreOffice :)

[Non Tech Answer]
If you have a 32 bit LibO you need a 32 bit java, same with 64 bits.
Oracle Supports (for free) Java 7 and 8 (I guess), so currently Java 1.7+ (Java 7 == 1.7). If there is a Bug in java, LibreOffice will suffer from it, but well, we cannot do anything against it....
