Hi Tom,
Thanks for the reply. I've inserted some answers to your questions as noted below.

I do back up my computer about once per week.

Someone mentioned you have to go to Page to access your file. I went to Page Preview and that brought the file back in.

I didn't have any problems with LibreOffice before. I used Open Office before.

Luckily, I have been also making a spread sheet for this same file on Excel 2007, for income tax purposes.
