For writers like me who love invoking full-screen to sweep away distractions
while creating, there's nothing more infuriating than that silly full-screen
toolbar that insists on getting in your face. You can minimize, dock or
whatever but there's always something there. Here's a way to disappear the
vermin permanently (only works in LibreOffice, not OpenOffice):

Go to .libreoffice/3/user/ and open registrymodifications.xcu with a
text-editor. Search for: 

private:resource/toolbar/fullscreenbar']"><prop oor:name="Visible"
oor:op="fuse"><value>true</value> 

and replace that last "true" to "false" - and that's all...
