[libreoffice-marketing] Re: Engaging Users?

Hello Florian,

The easiest for me is to open a free account on one online service and then copy the URL. But I can go with LimeSurvey of course.

Best,

Charles.

I prefer to use our own system, because we then control our data on our machines.

I have just set-up LimeSurvey and Zeki and you should receive their login credentials soon.

Hello everyone,

So the survey is ready and is almost the one that's here:
http://pad.documentfoundation.org/p/marketing

I'm happy to activate it tonight or tomorrow, but I do think it makes
sense for the native-language projects here to replicate it in their
own language and enroll their users as well. The survey when active
should be reachable at this address:
http://survey.documentfoundation.org/engaging-users

Please let me know if you're interested in translating it and I will
add you to the Lime Survey instance (judging by the admin panel there
it looks like I can do that otherwise Florian will help me out).

Distribution of the survey:
- Facebook group(s), Google+ Communities,
- Twitter
- Users Mailing lists, including the non English ones here on
  libreoffice.org
- Ask. Libreoffice.org
- forums, if possible (I'd need someone to do that btw).

Thanks!

I would like to translate the survey into Italian, but from the document
on the pad it is impossible to understand what has to be translated
because is part of the final text.

It would be nice to get a "clean" final version.

I am sure that a good number of LibreItalia G+ members will answer the
survey.

I guess the clean final version is on LimeSurvey which is a great tool
to handle multilanguage survey
And by the way, I'm interested too to have an account on LimeSurvey and
translate the survey.

I am sure that a good number of LibreItalia G+ members will answer the
survey.

great, the more the better!

Kind regards
Sophie

Sophie, Italo, I will register you to LimeSurvey tomorrow morning.

Best,

Charles.

And I should add that it'll be active until the next weekend.

Best,

You mean at the end of the survey? (I checked it but found no issue..)

Thanks,

Me in Dutch!

So the results are obviously coming in, but I think I found what the
problem was: bad end URL. It should now redirect to
www.libreoffice.org

If anybody wants to try...

best,

Charles..

Hi Charles,

1) Comment No. 1:
testing the survey on end respectively after answering the last question the link to the next URL is causing an Error 404 (on my system).

2) Comment No. 2:
Good survey.

3) Localisation:
How is your idea concerning thelocalisation: access the admin panel and localisation there?

Hello Jochen,

Hi Charles,

That should be fixed by now. In any case your results were registered.

2) Comment No. 2:
Good survey.

Thanks!

3) Localisation:

and localisation there?

Yes. Are you volunteering for German?

Best,

Charles.

About localization, there might be something wrong Charles, because
loging as admin I can't see any survey in the drop down Surveys list,
there is nothing to chose. Could you check that we have the right on
this survey? That's some time that I didn't use LimeSurvey but I seem to
remember that localization is done from the survey already registered
and is possible even if the survey activated.

Cheers
Sophie

I'll check however it's fair to say that it happened to me as well the
first time  the interface is unclear. What happens when you click
the first list option on the top right of the screen?

Best

Charles.
