Buenas Freddy,

Nada más quería comentarte que todos los teclados tienen ñ y tíldes, lo más
seguro no lo tienes configurado.

Si entras a Sistema::Preferencias::Teclado puedes cambiar la distribución
(como se le llama al esquema del teclado), o bien, ya que usas Ubuntu, abres
una consola y escribes:

*setxkbmap us*

O bien

*setxkbmap es*

El primer comando pone el teclado en inglés, el segundo en español.
